The Ministry of Communication announces a reduction in Japan’s population, according to the latest census

This morning, the 25th, the Ministry of Internal Administration and Communications released the preliminary figures for the 2020 census.
As of October 1 of last year, Japan’s total population was 126.226,568, a decrease of 868,177 from the previous survey in 2015.
This was the second consecutive drop after the previous survey, which recorded the first population decline since the survey began in 1920.
That is, the total population of Japan has decreased by 860,000, every year it has been decreasing.
