A large number of counterfeit KIMETSU NO YAIBA (鬼滅の刃) branded products were arrested in July this year

Four people were arrested, including Yukino Saito, the president of the Yokohama City Merchandise Sale and Import Company, and three more Chinese men and women.

In April, the four people made a total of about 10,000 fakes, including blankets, towels, pillows, cell phones and accessories with the traits of the character “Kimetsu”, a trademark of Shueisha, owner of the popular manga “Kimetsu no Yaiba”.

Sales of these products have reached about 25 million yen in the five months since December last year.

Even though the product does not contain the Kimetsu characters, logo or character, it was considered that the haori “checkered pattern” and the letter ‘destruction’ used by the main character of the manga were confused with the product, so the four were arrested for sale. of counterfeit products using the same standard.
