Asuke Hospital in Toyota City has a telephone translation system that allows for conversations between three people, or simultaneous telephone translation, called TRIOFONE.
What is a Triophone?:
Triofone (Torio-hon) is a simultaneous telephone consultation service with an interpreter.
This system allows simultaneous conversation between three people, so even people who do not understand Japanese can make inquiries using this system. Available languages include Portuguese, English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, and others.
Note: The Torio-hon – Triophone service is offered to help foreign residents in Japan communicate with city-related institutions such as hospitals, city halls, and public schools. Private companies or businesses using this service are not permitted.
Reception opening hours:
Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
First and third Saturdays of the month: 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
Note: Doctor appointments in the morning begin at 9:00 AM and in the afternoon at 1:30 PM, depending on the department.
