Toyohashi Matsuri (Eejanaika Dancezanmai), is held every year on the third Saturday and Sunday of October. It is a Festival that is celebrated throughout the city, mainly around Toyohashi Station, Hirokoji Avenue and Toyohashi Park.
Saturday: main events
From 10:30 am to 5:30 pm, the Eejanaika Toyohashi dance competition and demonstration is held at Matsuba Kouen (Park).
And between 6:30 pm and 8 pm, on the avenue in front of the station, there will be a general dance performance, attended by approximately 20 thousand people.

Sunday: main events
From 11am to 3:30pm on Hirokoji Avenue, the Eejanaika Toyohashi Pareca will be held, when participating groups will perform with dance, music and costumes.
From 3:00 pm to 5:40 pm, the event will end with awards for the dance groups and the show by the Toyohashi group DOEE, as well as other attractions on the stage set up especially for the event.
At the festival, the Queen of Toyohashi is chosen.
The main event of the Festival is the Odori Station Boulevard competition, a dance circle that spreads with the 4 chosen songs, not only the participants, but also the spectators and listeners will sing and dance excitedly.
The festival features many highlights; Eejanaika Toyohashi Pareka, which combines a parade and a carnival, a dance festival with several performances and the participation of groups of Brazilians and foreigners.
In Odori, the dance brings together around 20,000 people on the streets of (Ekimae-odori), Hirokoji-dori and Kayamachi-dori, spreading across the entire length of the city with dancing and applause.
And as always, food stalls where you can taste local delicacies are also a popular attraction of this festival.
Eejyanaika Toyohashi is a wonderful and fun event, and considered the best event in Toyohashi city.
