Starting April 1, 2025, people with My Number cards will be able to obtain resident registration certificates (Jūmin-hyō), seal registration certificates (Inkan tōroku shōmei-sho), and income tax certificates (Shotoku kazei shōmei-sho) at convenience stores for just 100 yen.
If you obtain the certificates at a convenience store, you will save 50 yen on the resident registration certificate, 50 yen on the seal registration certificate, and 100 yen on the income tax certificate, compared to obtaining them at the city hall counter.
