The Mount Fuji is the most climbed mountain in the world, it is estimated that around 200,000 people climb the mountain annually, 30% of which are foreigners. There are 4 main routes to climb Mount Fuji: Yoshidaguchi, Subashiri, Gotemba and Fujinomiya, Fujinomiya is the route we use in this video. On each trail, there are 10 stops (station), where you can find drinks, food, places to rest and the stamp. At each stop, things get more expensive, so the ideal is to take groceries.
Routes:
- Kawaguchiko-Yoshida-guchi, is one of the most popular and busiest. The tour starts at an altitude of 2305 meters and takes 5 to 8 hours, depending on your physical condition.
- Gotemba, is one of the busiest, as it is best served by public transport from Tokyo. The tour starts at an altitude of 1400 meters and takes 4 to 8 hours, depending on your physical condition.
- Subashiri, the tour starts at 2000 meters and takes 4 to 6 hours to complete, depending on your physical condition.
- Fujinomiya, is the shortest and most difficult, as the climb is very steep. The tour starts from station five, at an altitude of 2400 meters and takes 5 to 10 hours, depending on your physical condition. MORI EKI FUJISAN is the bus terminal, where the tour starts, leaves the terminal (restaurant) and takes you to the fifth station, the bus costs ¥1,800 for adults and ¥900 for children.
