Chindon Festival is a parade of Japanese artists, various Chindon teams are selected from all over Japan to perform on stage and in commercial areas.
Groups of people and groups of street artists in colorful clothes attend.
Performers parade along Ichinomiya’s Hagiwara shopping street and lead a competing parade with their costumes, performances and speeches.
The Chindon Festival has become a rare festival across the country!
It only happens once a year in the city of Ichinomiya on the last Sunday in May, from 9am to 5pm.
