Hekinan Iris Festival

Annually, from the end of May to mid-June, the Hana-Shobu (Iris Festival), is one of the main events in Hekinan City, a garden that houses around 13,000 irises (Hana-Shobu), a symbol of Hekinan City. The garden includes 80 species of delicate flowers that have made the city famous for their beauty.

In addition to the iris flowers, an event such as theatrical shows, photography competitions and tea ceremonies is held annually to entertain visitors. And at night the artificial lighting is on until 9 pm, transforming the place into a fantastic tourist spot.

  • Location: Aburagafuchi Iris Garden (Hekinan – Aichi).
  • Date: Every year from the end of May to mid-June.
  • Parking: Free (3 parking lots around the park for 140 cars).
  • WC: Available.
