From the observation deck at Hijirisaki Park, you can enjoy panoramic views of the ocean, Minamichita City, the surrounding landscape, and the park’s iconic statue.
It is said that this is the place where Kobo Daishi (Kukai) disembarked from the sea to train, and as a symbol of this, a statue of Kobo Daishi (Hitachi Daishi) was erected on the twin rocks above the sea.
