Ikawa Suspension Bridge

The Ikawa Suspension Bridge is a very impressive suspension bridge measuring 258 meters long, 60 meters high and 2.5 meters wide, which can accommodate cars. Although it is made of planks, it can support vehicles weighing up to 2 tons.

It was built in Shizuoka City in September 1957 by Chubu Electric Power and was selected as one of the Top 100 Oxies.

It is popular for its impressive swings and the spectacular view of the river that can be enjoyed from the middle of the bridge, and during the autumn foliage season, the scenery changes completely as the leaves on the mountain turn red.
