Korankei Gorge is known as the best spot for autumn leaves in Aichi Prefecture.
Approximately 4.000 trees of 11 types are in full bloom, a spectacle in red and yellow.
What is surprising is not only the beautiful autumn leaves, but also the amount of people. The roads leading to Korankei are congested for about 2.5 km beforehand.
There are more people than I expected. As the declaration has been suspended and most people have already been vaccinated so it is working normally, there are about twice as many people as usual.
This year Toyota City’s Korankei Gorge appears to have returned to normal.
