Infection is the presence of non-microbial parasites in people, the parasites or worms also cause inflammation of the lymphatic vessels, which can result in hypertrophy of affected regions.

What is the difference between inflammation and infection?

Inflammation is the body’s response to aggression, such as cuts and bumps. It causes swelling, redness, and pain as the body struggles to repair the site.

Infections are caused by external agents. The body reacts to the entry of bacteria, viruses or fungi.
