Mount Ishimaki

Mount Ishimaki (石巻山) is the highest mountain in Toyohashi City with an altitude of 358 meters, and is a mountain range that borders Aichi and Shizuoka prefectures.

The top of the mountain is a Murai (observatory) with huge limestone rocks from where we have a fabulous 360 degree view of the city. As it is an easy mountain to climb, it is very popular, in good weather it is possible to see Mount Fuji.

Sunset is especially recommended and is known as “twilight hour”, and at night we have an exceptional night view of the illuminated city of Toyohashi.

To reach the top of Mirai, you walk about 20 to 30 minutes on a trail with rocky stretches.
