Winter Lighting

But the park perhaps attracts more visitors in winter, when the park hosts a winter lighting event. Winter illuminations are held from October to the end of May. The lighting is one of the biggest lighting events in Japan and as such it draws huge crowds from all prefectures. The park becomes a fantastic Festival of Lights, where millions of LED lights of different colors are used, blending with nature and the park’s landscaping, providing visitors with a wonderful illuminated scenario of great beauty.
There is also a beautiful glowing tunnel 200 meters long, the Twin Trees, an overwater lighting called Rio Brilhante, a famous valley where every year an amazing light show with a different theme takes place. And in the middle of the park, you’ll find Fuji Island, which is a mobile observation platform that rises 45 meters above the ground. There, you will have a 360 degree panoramic view, where we can contemplate the entire park.
