One person was arrested driving an unlicensed electric kickboard on the sidewalk

A 20-year-old from Kakamigahara City, Gifu Prefecture, was seen riding an unlicensed motorized kickboard on the sidewalk of Unumakawasaki-cho, Kakamigahara City, in November (2021).

Electric kickboards are treated the same as motorcycles and require a driver’s license. Driving on the sidewalk is prohibited.

The detainee does not have a driver’s license, this is the first case in Gifu Prefecture where an electric kickboard is caught without a license.
