Toyokawa City
Toyokawa (豊川市) is a city located in the southeastern part of Aichi Prefecture. It has a short coastline with Mikawa Bay. The Toyokawa area is 161.14 square kilometers. With a population of 184.036 inhab., including about 5.162 foreign citizens, of which approximately 2.220 are Brazilians.
Toyokawa City was founded on June 1, 1943 by merging Toyokawa with neighboring Ushikubo City and Yawata Village, all in Hoi District.
The city has a climate characterized by hot, humid summers and relatively mild winters. September is considered the wettest month. Temperatures are highest in August at around 27.5°C, and lowest in January at around 5°C.
