Fujinomiya City   富士宮市

Fujinomiya (富士宮市) is a Japanese city located in the province of Shizuoka, on the southwestern slopes of Mount Fuji. Fujinomiya received city status in June 1942 with the merger of the city of Omiya and the neighboring village of Fujioka. The city expanded by annexing the neighboring village of Fujine in 1955 and the villages of Kitayama, Shiraito, Kamiide and Ueno in 1956. In March 2010, the city of Shibakawa was merged into Fujinomiya.
