Shizuoka Ecopa Stadium

Shizuoka Ecopa Stadium (静岡スタジアム・エコパ) opened in Fukuroi City on March 26, 2001 and is the largest stadium in Shizuoka Prefecture. With capacity for 50 thousand people.

The stadium is now the main venue for major sporting events in Shizuoka Prefecture, including athletics, for which it is fully equipped.

The first major event was on May 12, 2001, it was the Shizuoka Derby J. League match between Shimizu S-Pulse and Júbilo Iwata.

The stadium was also the stage for some matches during the 2002 FIFA World Cup, it hosted three matches, including two first-phase matches and the quarter-final between Brazil and England (2-1). And it was used as one of the venues for the Rugby World Cup 2019 (Japan), which was the first Rugby World Cup held in Asia.

And on July 22, 2023, it hosted the biggest school sports event for the Brazilian community in Japan, held by Jebra Japan and with the presence of Consul Aldemo Garcia from Hamamatsu, also with the presence of the player Amaral who is considered the ¨King of Tokyo¨ and the presence of Judoka India.

Next to the stadium is the covered Ecopa Arena, where several games take place and it was here that the Volleyball games of the Brazilian School Games Olympics took place.

And first place in Women’s Volleyball went to Kikugawa Objective School 「NIBRA」.

And the first place in Men’s Volleyball went to School Sant’ana.
