The Ministry of Communication announces a reduction in the population of Japan, according to the latest census

This morning, the 25th, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications released preliminary census figures of 2020.

As of October 1 of last year, Japan’s total population was 126,226,568, a decrease of 868,177 from the previous survey in 2015.

This was the second consecutive decline after the previous survey, which recorded the first population decline since the survey began in 1920.

That is, the total population of Japan has decreased by 860,000, every year it has decreased.
