Three men of Turkish nationality were arrested on suspicion of theft in Aichi Prefecture

Japan Guide 2022/12/26

Three Turkish nationals were arrested for breaking into an empty house in Nagoya and stealing money.

According to police in November, the three stole 3,000 yen from a gift bag after breaking into an empty home belonging to a 56-year-old woman.

Police have not released the identity of the three. But the three people are known to have repeatedly robbed about 100 homes since January of this year.

In Aichi Prefecture, 332 cases of thefts were confirmed, an increase of 150 cases compared to the same period last year.

During the end of year and new year holidays, people usually leave their homes to return to their hometowns, so the police ask for caution not to leave money and other objects unattended.
