Japan Guide 2022/07/14

In a joint operation between the Metropolitan Police Department and the Saitama Prefectural Police, 3 Vietnamese were arrested for stealing a passenger car, Fun Sea Hop (ファン・シー・ホップ) 26-year-old, Nguyen Van Tan (グエン・ヴァン) ・タン) 25-year-old from Higashimatsuyama City of Saitama Prefecture and Har Tyne Chen (ハー・タイン・チェン) 22-year-old.

Police suspect the three stole a total of more than 20 passenger cars worth about 60 million yen, mostly luxury cars, in Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba, Shizuoka and Ibaraki prefectures.

The reason for the arrest is that they stole a car worth 2 million yen and two license plates from a used car dealer in Higashiyamato, Tokyo Prefecture on May 24 this year. The stolen car was resold at a low price in the Vietnamese community.
