Too Hot To Be Cool

Description of the event

Celebrating Too Hot to Be Cool’s second anniversary, we’re teaming up with Tokyo’s legendary rock bar, Bauhaus, for an epic rock marathon!

THE BEST LIVE ROCK BAR IN TOKYO

The night will unfold in three explosive chapters

  • The Warm-up Party (5:00 PM – 6:30 PM) with Just Reboot, theCOMMON, and one more band to be announced.
  • The Main Show (6:30 PM – 9:30 PM) featuring AD/CD, FUQA, and The Raptols.
  • The After Party (9:30 PM – 1:00 AM) presented by the Bauhaus Band — your THTBC ticket grants access to the legendary Bauhaus experience at no extra cost!

MCs Kaomi & Lisa: Our unstoppable bilingual duo returns to guide the night with style, humor, and heart. They’ve been the voices of every THTBC edition so far, and we can’t imagine the stage without them.

About the Cause

All proceeds from this event are donated to Kids for Kids, a Philippines-based NPO that empowers children for climate action through creativity and education.

Your ticket will directly support their next Islands of Imagination festival in November 2026. These events turn local communities into vibrant hubs of art, music, and storytelling, fostering environmental awareness and resilience among young minds — inspiring the next generation of climate leaders, one island at a time.

Thanks to Bauhaus’ incredible generosity in hosting us for free, every single ticket sold — from the first one — goes directly to the donation box!

Special Food & Drinks

Salo Kitchen will be serving delicious Filipino vegan food to keep you energized through the night.

At the bar, we’ll have two special drinks not usually on the Bauhaus menu: local organic craft beer from Kanagawa and craft lemon chu-hai from Ogasawara Island. 100% of proceeds from these drinks go straight to the donation box!

Our Values

No discrimination, no harassment. We believe live music should be a space of respect, inclusion, and freedom for both artists and audience.

We strive to keep THTBC accessible for all generations, especially young people discovering live music and climate action.

Partners & Support

Big thanks to our promotion partner More Than Music, to Bauhaus for hosting the event for free, and to Ichigo Bloom for sustainability content. Event organized by the Too Hot to Be Cool volunteer team.

Meet the bands!

  • The Raptols: A Tokyo-based rock’n’roll band in their 20s combining raw energy with polished anthems. Formed in 2023, vocalist Takemura Shun, guitarist Suzuki Kotaro, and bassist Yamamoto Koki deliver explosive live shows that have made them one of Japan’s most thrilling young acts.
  • AD/CD: Tokyo’s premier AC/DC tribute band, faithfully recreating the iconic Australian rockers’ power and attitude. From Tokyo to Okinawa and beyond, their high-energy performances keep the spirit of AC/DC alive.
  • FUQA: With Mei on drums and Ryo on vocals/guitar, FUQA delivers a sound far bigger than their numbers. Influenced by 70s-80s legends like Black Sabbath and Iggy Pop, they blend punk, garage, and hard rock with powerful riffs and catchy hooks. After touring the UK and Philippines in 2025, they return to THTBC following standout performances at our first five editions.
  • Just Reboot: This bassless alternative rock quartet, three girls and one boy, all under 20, made waves as finalists in 2024’s School’s Out battle of the bands. They’ve already won over THTBC audiences twice. They’re back for more!
  • The COMMON: A Tokyo punk trio inspired by The Clash, delivering driving rhythms, gritty guitars, and sharp lyrics. With Nick, Simo, and Darryl sharing vocals, their socially charged anthems embody the spirit of rebellious punk.
  • Moon Room: An alternative rock band, Moon Room released their first EP in 2025 and are quickly making their mark on Tokyo’s local scene. For THTBC’s 2nd Anniversary, they’re bringing a Green Day tribute set that promises to deliver all the punk energy and anthemic hooks that defined a generation.
