Toyohashi General Zoo and Botanical Garden

Nonhoi Park is made up of four parts, a zoo, a botanical garden, a natural history museum and an amusement park. Located in Toyohashi City, Aichi.

At the Zoo the animals live freely as an African Savannah Park, where we can observe the exploits of wild animals.

In the Botanical Garden, adults and children can fully enjoy the park with a huge greenhouse.

In the Natural History Museum there are several life-size dinosaur skeletons.

In the Amusement Park there are several rides and a large car track.

The Zoo’s concept is to create a sense of proximity to the exploits of wild animals in all its 14 zones. You will find giraffes roaming the pastures and monkeys in the tree branches, as well as penguins and seals among 900 animals from around 170 species. There is a small farm that offers the opportunity to interact closely with sheep, pigs, rabbits and horses, which is very popular with children.

The amusement park has a small roller coaster for children, a flower cup ride, a carousel and a children’s train, an amazing car track and on the Ferris wheel a beautiful view of Toyohashi City.

And at the Natural History Museum you learn all about the evolution of life from the origin of the Earth to the present day and the origins of nature. Twelve full-size dinosaur skeletons on display, including Tyrannosaurus rex and Triceratops.

The botanical garden has a gigantic greenhouse, where we can find approximately 850 species with about 15.000 plants from the equatorial and tropical region.

Ninhoi Park is so big that one day is not enough to see it all.
