A Brazilian man was driving the wrong way on Highway 23 and died in a head-on collision with a truck in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture.

On the 26th, at 9:30 am, a car was driving the wrong way  on the road collided in front of a large truck on National Highway 23, Suzuka City, Mie.

The car was driven by Ricardo Kaznori Araki, 37, a Brazilian resident of Suzuka. The ambulance team claims that Ricardo was unconscious when they arrived and was confirmed dead at the hospital.

The 68-year-old man driving the truck was not injured.

Police are investigating why Ricardo was driving the wrong way in reverse and the circumstances leading up to the accident.
