Vietnamese group arrested for car theft

Six Vietnamese nationals have been arrested on suspicion of stealing three used luxury cars from a used car dealership.

A 21-year-old Vietnamese part-time worker was detained, Nguyen Hugh Cau and other Vietnamese.

According to a police investigation, on the night of October 20, the Vietnamese group is suspected of stealing three used luxury cars worth approximately 8.6 million yen from the parking lot of a used car sales company in Hyogo, Kobe.

Police have not released the identities of the six suspects.

Based on the method of stealing multiple cars at once from used car agency parking lots, the police suspect that it is related to more than 60 cases of car thefts across the country, including Chubu and Tohoku regions, since August.
