Vietnamese man arrested for smuggling marijuana in potato chip packaging

Vietnamese Do Zui Dat (24) was arrested on suspicion of trying to smuggle a box of potato chips filled with marijuana in the Nakagawa district of Nagoya city.

According to the Department of Drug Control, in June, 282.2 grams of marijuana and 3.28 grams of cannabis resin were packed in a box of potato chips, the value of the contraband being about 1.73 million yen

Do Zui Dat was arrested for violating the Cannabis Control Act, trying to smuggle marijuana-laced food into Vietnam.

The Tokai Hokuriku Department of Drug Control did not reveal whether the suspect confirmed that he was the perpetrator.
