Vietnamese man arrested for smuggling synthetic drug MDMA

Pham Van Hoang, a 31-year-old Vietnamese national, was arrested and referred to prosecutors for smuggling approximately 464 grams of the synthetic drug MDMA, equivalent to a retail price of 4.8 million yen, by international courier from France last December.

The Nagoya customs officer found MDMA wrapped in gift wrap in a chocolate box in the mail.
