Visit the sanctuary before and after moving house

Why should we visit the shrine (Jinja) when we move?

The reason is that visiting the sanctuary is a greeting (prayer) of thanks to the God who protects the neighborhood and the people who live in the neighborhood.

In Japan they say that there are eight million Gods, so there is one God to protect the neighborhood of the city where you live, that is, each neighborhood of each city has a God.

After moving, you should also go to the shrine (Jinja) of the new neighborhood to say a greeting and a prayer to the God of the new neighborhood.

By saluting the God of the new neighborhood, you will be creating a bond with the God.
