Inazawa (稲沢市) is a city located in Aichi Prefecture, with an estimated population of 132,164, including 4,380 foreign residents. Of these, 1,109 are from Vietnam, 884 from Brazil, 686 from the Philippines, 415 from China, 247 from Indonesia, 183 from South Korea, 139 from Nepal, 127 from Thailand, 102 from Sri Lanka, 90 from Myanmar, 21 from Taiwan, 19 from Pakistan, 13 from India, 12 from Mongolia, 10 from Cambodia, and 323 of other nationalities.

 

The city of Inazawa expanded its area by incorporating neighboring villages in 1907 and 1955, and was officially incorporated as a city on November 1, 1958.

On April 1, 2005, the towns of Heiwa and Sobue (both in Nakashima Prefecture) were incorporated into Inazawa.
