Unagi Pie Factory

In 1964, the famous eel pie (うなぎパイ- Unagi Pie) was born in Hamamatsu, born out of the passion of making sweets.

And the eel pie is still handmade like it used to be

Preparative:

The eel pie is handmade one by one, the pastry chef prepares the dough.

Note: There is a cinema and an exhibition panel on the process of making eel pies.

Roast:

Before baking, the confectioner alters the appearance of the eel, then it is cooked in a special oven.

With super temperature control, the small dough swells and becomes bigger and bigger in the oven, with a crunchy texture.

Inspection:

After leaving the oven, the eels undergo a rigorous inspection, excluding those that come out with cracks and defects.
