The person arrested was Eligi Lima Kiyoshi (35 years old), a Brazilian who lives in Futamuradai, Toyoake City, Aichi.
According to police, Eligi is suspected of fleeing after running over a motorcycle at night at the Yokonemachi intersection in Obu City, injuring a 49-year-old man.
Eligi was identified by witness statements at the scene and by the wreckage of his car
In response to police interrogation, Eligi admitted.
