At the summit of Mount Hagitaro, there is an observation point that offers a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view. You can see the Southern Alps, and on clear days, even as far as Nagoya and Hamamatsu. Furthermore, you can enjoy seasonal flowers, such as phlox in the spring (from early May to early June) and impatiens from summer through autumn (from mid-July to late October).
The observation deck is one of the highlights of Sky Garden Park, located on the border between the village of Toyone in Aichi Prefecture and the village of Neba in Nagano Prefecture; at an altitude of 1,415 meters, it marks the highest point in Aichi Prefecture.
The viewpoint was renovated in 2016, and the restrooms at the top of the mountain were completed between 2017 and 2018.
At nightfall, the stars put on a dazzling show; from the highest point in Aichi, the observation deck offers a view that is truly breathtaking!
Next to the viewpoint, there is a wooden deck with chairs where you can relax and enjoy the panoramic view of the Southern Alps and the stunning natural landscape.
