Ikobe Beach in the city of Toyohashi (Aichi Prefecture) is an appealing tourist destination that stands out from typical beaches; featuring magnificent natural scenery and a stretch of sand that seems to extend as far as the eye can see, the location is also famous for having served as a setting for various NHK drama productions.
It is a beach with strong waves, ideal for surfing and for those who enjoy walking along the sand amidst magnificent scenery; many surfers travel from afar in search of the excellent waves that Ikobe Beach offers.
Although swimming at the beach is not technically prohibited, it is not advisable due to strong waves and dangerous rip currents.
Facilities such as restrooms and foot-washing areas are located near the parking lot. There is also a rest area, allowing families to use the space with peace of mind.
