The city of Tahara is located in the far south of Aichi Prefecture and is an ideal spot for surfing. Although the waves at Kumihara Beach are often weak, the area is known for having waves that break frequently, and when the waves get bigger, the beach becomes crowded with surfers.
Next to the parking lot is a viewpoint atop a cliff, from where you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the beach and the vast ocean.
