Nisshin City 日進市
Nisshin (日進市) is a Japanese city located in Aichi Prefecture. Its population is 92.187 inhab., including about 1.270 foreign citizens and 88 Brazilians.
The average annual temperature in Nisshin is 15.7°C. and September is the wettest month. Temperatures are highest in August at around 28.0°C and lowest in January at around 4.1°C.
With the establishment of the modern township system on October 1, 1889, the villages of Iwasaki, Shiroyama, and Kaguyama were created in Aichi Prefecture. These three villages merged on May 10, 1906 to create Nisshin Village. The village is named after the Imperial Japanese Navy cruiser Nisshin, made famous during the Russo-Japanese War. Nisshin became a city on January 1, 1951 and was elevated to city status on October 1, 1994.
