Fujikawaguchiko-machi (富士河口湖町) is a city located in southern Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. With a total area of 158.40 square kilometers, three of the Five Lakes Fuji (Lake Kawaguchi, Lake Sai and Lake Shōji) can be found here.
With a population of 26.182 inhabitants, including about 557 foreigners, approximately 162 Chinese, 35 Koreans, 82 Vietnamese, 53 Filipinos, 20 Brazilians, 66 Nepalese, 13 Indonesians, 26 Taiwanese, 14 Americans, 22 Thais and another… (prefecture data).
During the cadastral reform of the early Meiji period in July 1889, the area came under the jurisdiction of the Minamitsuru district, in November 2003 the city of Kawaguchiko and the villages of Katsuyama and Ashiwada merged to form the new city of Fujikawaguchiko. .
The highest temperatures in Fujikawaguchiko are in July, reaching around 35.3°C, and the lowest in January, reaching -22°C. It gets so cold that Lake Kawaguchi is completely frozen over.

Located at the northern foot of Mount Fuji, the symbol of Japan, the city of Fujikawaguchiko is blessed with verdant nature and mountains.
