Brazilian Nelson Kunio Kawano, 49, who owns a daycare center in the city of Ota, in Gunma province, was arrested on suspicion of having committed an obscene attitude towards a 6-year-old child.
The suspect would have touched the lower part of the girl’s body, over her clothes, inside a minibus that he was driving to transport the children who attended his daycare.
The case was revealed after the girl spoke to her father about the matter, the girl’s father went to the police station to report it, claiming that the daughter said the bus driver had touched her body.
The suspect denies the allegation and his wife Marta Kawano also denies the allegation. She said the parent who filed the complaint owed three months of tuition and did not pay. The police are still investigating the case.
