The biggest event for the Brazilian community, Brazilian Day Hamamatsu 2023, will take place on the 15th, 16th and 17th of September in a new location.
This year’s Theme has also been defined and will be “115 years of Japanese Immigration in Brazil“
With the success of the first edition and the mass participation of the Brazilian public and other nationalities, Promotion Brasil opted for a larger space. So this year’s event will take place in downtown Hamamatsu, in the area of the former Matsubishi department store.
With an expected audience of 30,000 people over the three days of the festival, on the first day, the 15th, there will be the Night of Bossa Nova, a special attraction that involves more of the Japanese community along with Brazilian music.

The main artist of the event has not yet been defined, but the names considered for this year are: Sandra de Sá, Gabriel O Pensador, Ló Chaves, the band Pato Fú, Buchecha, among others. The first conversations have already started, but it all depends on the artists’ agenda and the event’s budget.
Among the novelties, there is an invitation for artists from various states of Brazil to perform at this year’s BRDAY, in addition to presenting Brazil’s cultural diversity, the opportunity to promote each region of the country.
With the aim of increasingly bringing together the Brazilian community in Japan, especially with opportunities for entrepreneurs, there will be, among the novelties, FEIRA MIX, an area with 20 stands for self-employed and micro entrepreneurs to publicize their products and services. In the first edition of the event, held in 2022, the number of public exceeded expectations. There were more than 20,000 people circulating around the event in two days of Brazilian festivities. The main attraction was singer Tony Garrido.
