From mid-April to early May, the 1,300 square meter Okazaki Castle Park is covered in beautiful purple wisteria flowers.
The Gomankoku Wisteria is the flower that represents Okazaki City. In 1963, the wisteria in the park was designated a city monument and in 1970, it was designated the city flower of Okazaki.
And from 6am onwards, the beautiful wisteria flowers are illuminated, further enhancing their purple hue, enchanting visitors who come to enjoy the Okazaki wisteria.
