On June 5, the Nabari Police Station of Mie Prefecture arrested four Vietnamese men aged between 25 and 35 years old living in Nabari City on suspicion of attempted home invasion, theft and illegal stay.

Police entered the home where the four lived and seized more than 100 items, including wristwatches and gift certificates.

And they found clothing and tools believed to have been used in the theft.

Police identified some of them through security camera footage and other sources, and tracked their locations. Two 25-year-old former technical interns, a man and a woman, who lived together, were also found to be in an irregular situation and were also detained. Nearly 100 cases of theft of empty houses by Vietnamese groups have occurred in the city since March this year. The police carried out a joint investigation with the 3rd Division of Investigations and the Iga Police Station.
