Japanese language school in Fukuoka loses accreditation for chaining foreign student

On the 7th, the Japan Immigration Services Agency withdrew the certification of a Japanese language school (West Japan International Education Institute) in the city of Fukuoka, for malicious violations of human rights, a Vietnamese student was arrested with chains and padlocks, by an employee.

The employee held a Vietnamese man for several hours using a chain and a padlock wrapped around his waist, according to Immigration Japan. Then the clerk locked the student in his room until the next day.

The school has lost its certification to teach foreigners, and foreign students will be required to change schools.
