The Gifu City International Exchange Association primarily serves foreigners who live, work, or study in Gifu City. Services are available in person, by phone, or via Skype.
The Association has 5 translators (Portuguese, English, Tagalog, Chinese, Vietnamese) to assist foreigners who face difficulties in their daily lives (taxes, housing, education, social assistance, city hall, schools, daycare centers, and others).
The service desk is located in the Multicultural Plaza area, on the 1st floor of the Minna no Mori Gifu Media Cosmos (Gifu Tsukasamachi 40-5).

The Association also offers free Japanese courses to foreigners, taught by volunteers, and offers Japanese language courses taught by Japanese teachers specialized in teaching Japanese to foreigners (the student pays for the teaching materials and a fee for the classes).
