Carlos Toyota Started his career through dance, in his childhood with samba, pagode and funk, but his admiration for the martial art was huge. In Japan he participated in parties and dances in the region of Aichi and Shizuoka, with a lambada group. He also participated in theater groups with dekassegui actors.

Carlos Toyota is a fighter with many fans and much admired in the martial arts through karate, kickboxing, muay-thai, jiu-jitsu, judo and taekwondo.

He arrived at the age of 19 in Japan in the Hiroshima region, passed through the Kanagawa, Aichi and Shizuoka regions. And as a dekassegui he worked for a few years in a factory.

He settled in the city of Hamamatsu, where he has his own gym. Throughout his career Carlos Toyota won 4 belts (3 MMA and 1 Kickboxing belt) and went through the events Deep, Heat, Real Fight, Road FC, Rizin.

In Brazil he trained Judo and other martial arts, but in Japan it was in karate that Carlos Toyota took his first steps and began to win his first trophies. He took a liking to it, graduated and started to acquire more skills with competitions and started training MMA.

And he didn’t stop there, to improve his techniques even more he started training Jiu-jitsu with master Edson Leandro. With all this experience and technique he became national champion and one of the first Brazilians in the community to win titles outside of Japan. At 35 years old and weighing 90 kg he entered MMA where he remains to this day.

In 2009 Toyota set up his own gym in the city of Hamamatsu, Academia Carlos Toyotta Gym, before setting up his academy he was already a martial arts teacher, teaching Karate, jiu-jitsu, MMA and kickboxing.

In addition to his academy, he has 5 branches in Brazil (São Paulo, Curitiba, Araraquara, Maranhão and Manaus) and international branches in Argentina, Orlando, Correia, Taiwan and the United States.

As a dancer and music lover, in 2000 he started giving aerobics classes (Aero Fight) of his creation, a huge success. Aero Fight uses martial arts movements along with aerobic and neuromuscular work with punching and kicking movements of the respective martial arts. His academy has already trained several specialized and Reputable Professors.

Until 2020 Carlos Toyota is in fifth place in the international jiu jitsu federation in the world, due to the pandemic it stopped, but in early 2022 it started to participate in the jiu jitsu championship, although it is directed to jiu jitsu its focus is on MMA competitions.
