Miyoshi Town’s Festival, Tennojinja Akino Reitaisai Festival is held every year on the first Sunday of October to celebrate grain production.
Tenoujinjya Akino Festival begins at Tenno Shrine Temple (天王神社) with the celebration of the mass, leaving with the Dashi (float), which goes around the neighborhood until returning to the temple to do the lighting for the evening parade.
More than 200 paper lanterns are lit on the floats for the evening parade, illuminating and decorating the night.
