Kanzanji Onsen Floating Lantern and Fireworks Festival

In Hamamatsu, at Lake Hamana in Hamanako Kanzanji Onsen, the lantern festival called TOUROU NAGASHI and the famous fireworks display that takes place every year in July (usually on the third or fourth Sunday of the month). The lanterns in this incredible festival are used to comfort the spirits of victims of war, drowning accidents, those who died in disasters such as an earthquake, or to make wishes.

Many visitors come every year to make their wishes by placing the lantern in the lake, coloring the surface of Lake Hamana. A spectacle with more than 2 thousand lanterns floating across the lake along with fireworks in the sky.
