Police believe he tried to smuggle black cocaine disguised as cosmetics.

Marcos dos Santos Onishi, a 32-year-old Brazilian worker from the city of Gamagori, Aichi. He smuggled cocaine using international mail from Brazil on October 3 to sell around 2.300 grams of cocaine, worth around 47 million yen.

The cocaine was dyed black and divided into four transparent bags of black face packs. Customs officials became suspicious and opened the bag, found it was cocaine and not a face pack, but a black powder.

Police continue the investigation, assuming he trafficked in color to avoid detection.

He was arrested on suspicion of attempted smuggling at Chubu Airport. Police did not release further details, but are investigating the existence of accomplices.
