Higashiyama Sky Tower

The Higashiyama Sky Tower is a landmark in the eastern part of Nagoya City, located next to the Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens, and was built in 1988 to commemorate the centennial of the founding of the city of Nagoya.

The tower is 134 meters tall and sits atop an 80-meter hill, making it 214 meters tall.

On a clear day, you can see as far as Mount Ontake, the Suzuka Mountains, and the Japanese Alps. At night, visitors are mesmerized by the night view, which has been voted one of the most beautiful in Japan.
