The Cherry Blossom (Sakura) Festival at Shonai Ryokuchi Park in Nagoya City is held from late March to early April when the spring cherry trees are in bloom. The park has approximately 1,000 cherry trees, of which 700 are Yoshino cherry trees, 300 are Sato cherry trees, 25 are weeping cherry trees, and 25 are October cherry trees.














This is one of the city’s largest parks and is known as one of the best cherry blossom viewing spots in Nagoya. The park offers a variety of facilities, including a barbecue area, a green lawn, a skate park, a soccer field, a playground, tennis courts, walking and jogging areas, a bike path, paddle boats, and more.
The parking lot can fill up at this time of year, so arrive early.
