The Fire Department is warning residents to be careful after discovering that kerosene (tooyu) sold at a gas station in Ogaki City, Gifu Prefecture, had been mixed with gasoline, causing a fire.

Mixing TOYU with gasoline may cause an explosion or fire.

The Fire Department issued a warning about the need for caution after a house fire in the Kumano-cho neighborhood of Ogaki City, where a mixture of tooyu (a type of gasoline) and gasoline was sold at the “Kygnus Sekiyu Seino” gas station.

This mixture was sold between January 29 and February 13, so residents in the area should be vigilant.
