Hiratobashi Park was named one of the 10 most famous places in Aichi Prefecture in 1952 and is now very popular in spring with the cherry blossom (sakura) season. From late March to mid-April, about 1,500 cherry trees line the Yahagi River, a sight not to be missed. And from the Hirado Bridge where Route 153 crosses the Yahagi River, we have wonderful views of the sakura along the riverbank.
